Day 1: Arrival to Breckenridge
Our journey began with a flight into Denver, where we quickly rented a car to embark on the scenic drive to Breckenridge. Along the way, we made a pit stop at Safeway in Frisco, CO to stock up on essentials for our stay; this short, on-the-way “detour” will save you a little bit of coin as groceries tend to be slightly higher (and limited) in ski towns. Upon arriving in Breckenridge, we settled into our cozy accommodation at 109 Village Point Drive. This spacious 3-story townhome was perfect for our party of four, although it could accommodate up to 6 people if you have a larger group. The highlight was the hot tub on the patio, which we were sure to take advantage of on a daily basis!
This home was also within walking distance to one of the mountains (Peak 9) and a close walk to the bus stop that would take you further into town or to the other mountain peaks.
We decided to rent our ski equipment ahead of time so that we could hit the slopes first thing the next morning. We used Lone Star Christy Sports and had a great experience. It’s located within walking distance to the town shops and restaurants if you want to venture out from there.
For dinner, we ventured out to the famous Fatty’s Pizza, a local favorite. The hearty slices of pizza were the perfect welcome to this charming town.

We made a stop at Ten Mile station while we were up near the clouds, which offered a variety of food and drink options. The station’s cozy atmosphere and hearty menu provided the perfect mid-day break before we headed back out to conquer more runs. After a day on the slopes, we indulged in a hearty meal at Mi Casa, a restaurant known for its flavorful Mexican cuisine. The warm and inviting ambiance of Mi Casa was the ideal setting to unwind and relive the day’s adventures.
