Imagine azure waters, pristine beaches, and an island paradise that beckons you to leave your worries behind. Eleuthera, Bahamas, a hidden gem in the Caribbean, promises an unforgettable getaway filled with relaxation, exploration, and tropical adventures. If you’re looking to spend a few days in this tropical haven, here’s a meticulously crafted itinerary that will ensure you make the most of your time in Eleuthera.
Day 1: Arrival and Welcome to Paradise
Our journey to paradise began as we took a 10:00 AM morning flight from IAH and touched down in Nassau early afternoon. From there, we took a quick hopper flight and arrived in the heart of Eleuthera around 4:30 PM.
We checked into our home away from home for the week, a beautiful abode offering a true taste of island living. We stayed in Mon Soleil House. Nestled amidst the natural beauty of Eleuthera, this charming two-bedroom home sleeps 6 people and sits directly on French Leave Beach, a mile long crescent of pink sand and palm trees that has been ranked top 20 in the world.
As the sun sets over the horizon, you have two fantastic dinner options to choose from: Tippy’s Restaurant and Beach Bar or Buccaneer Club. Indulge in delicious island cuisine and savoring flavors.

Day 2: Exploring Harbour Island
Rise and shine for an exciting day ahead, as you venture to Harbour Island, a nearby gem renowned for its stunning beaches and vibrant culture. Start by renting a golf cart from to navigate the island with ease. Lounge on the beach, enjoy fishing or diving charters, shop locally, or enjoy a local meal. We opted to dine in at The Oceanview Restaurant, and it did not disappoint.
After a day of exploration, we returned to Eleuthera and ventured to 1648 at French Leave Resort, which offered a culinary experience like no other. Here, we enjoyed conch rangoons, lobster mac & cheese, and fish tacos.
Day 3: Relax & Unwind, Beachside
Given that Mon Soleil house was situated along the pink sands of French Leave Beach, we selected this day as our day at the beach, where we strolled along the sands, caught some rays, and floating in the crystal blue waters. This relaxing day was just what we needed! We picked up some sandwiches and light bites from Bacchus Fine Foods and had a pizza night at the house.
Day 4: Adventures by Boat
Many recommendations led us to book Captain Kid for our day of boat adventures. Driven by Captain Jodi, we fed stingrays and sea turtles, located starfish, went snorkeling around beautiful reefs, and spent time searching for sand dollars on Sand Dollar Island. Our boat day proved to be our favorite day of the entire trip, and we had wished we had booked more days with Captain Kid! On our way bath to the house, we made sure to stop at Glass Window Bridge to see the captivating blend of the bright, turquoise waters of Eleuthera, contrasted with the dark blue waters of the Atlantic.
Day 5: Bidding Farewell to Paradise
Ahead of our early afternoon flight back to Nassau, we made one final stop at 1648 at French Leave Resort for breakfast.
Our unforgettable adventure in Eleuthera came to a close. From the turquoise waters to the friendly faces we met, Eleuthera has this unique ability to stay with you long after you’ve left.
I can’t help but think of the cozy villa we called home, the unforgettable experiences we shared, and the feeling of pure relaxation that enveloped us. Those endless beaches, the warm sun on our skin, and the laid-back vibes are all part of the magic we came to love. If you find yourself in Eleuthera one day, I hope you enjoy the adventure!๐ด๐
